14 & 15 October 2020

 Virtual Online Event

A message from the Chair

The LARAC Conference is the leading event in the local authority waste and recycling calendar.

Due to the uncertainty of the current coronavirus situation and after a lot of consideration and discussion with the LARAC Exec and the organisers, we have decided that the 2020 UK LARAC Conference cannot take place as a face to face event.

This has been a really tough decision to take as we know how much people look forward to and value the annual UK LARAC Conference. But we had to think first and foremost of the safety of delegates, sponsors and all involved with the event. We felt that the adjustments needed for social distancing would have meant the event would not have had the unique feel that contributes to making it such a great two days.  We also felt that certainty about the event now would be helpful to all involved.

We know how much you appreciate the event and the information you get from it and therefore we are currently working on introducing the first ever virtual LARAC Conference. The intention is it would take place on 14 and/or 15 October when we would have been gathered in Birmingham. So for now keep the LARAC Conference 2020 dates in your diary for a possible virtual event and watch this space for further announcements.
