ABOUT LARAC
WHAT IS THE LARAC CONFERENCE?
The LARAC Conference is the leading event in the local authority waste and recycling calendar.
The live event attracts more than 400 visitors (including 170 different authorities) for two days of expert presentations, practical workshops and second to none networking.
Visitors can also take part in the LARAC celebration awards and revel in the successes of different local authorities over the past year.
This years LARAC Conference and Celebration Awards 2023 covers interesting panel debates, external key note speakers, case studies, and discussions around: 'What if the Implementation of the consultations happened tomorrow', Environmental Actions within Local Authorities, Effective communications of a service change and Training and Green Skills, to name but a few.
In essence, if you are connected with household waste and recycling collection services then this is a date to mark in your diary.
WHO'S BEHIND IT?
LARAC, The Local Authority Recycling Advisory Committee, was formed in 1985 to represent the emerging voice of local government recycling officers. We have the largest membership of waste and recycling officers across the UK, representing 311 local authorities including Collection, Disposal and Unitary Authorities. Full Membership is open to any local authority within the UK and we have members from authorities in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales including associates from the Channel Islands. We represent local authority views in waste and recycling issues, and we are run by an Executive of 20 serving local authority waste management officers. Associate membership is open to any Local Authority with a waste function. To find out more visit www.larac.org.uk
The LARAC Conference & Celebration Awards is organised in partnership with ROARB2B ( who have now taken over Environment Media Group).
